New to DW.

Well, I need a new journaling service. Many thanks to [personal profile] kurumasha for the invite code!. I'm [personal profile] ruaki, both on LJ (defunct) and JF. Despite my years as a permanent member at JF, I'm feeling the need to move on; my flist there is pretty much the same tired, bitter comms and no actual people of shared interest--I'm ready to put a toe back into fandom now that I have gained new interests.

(I think.)

There's really nothing interesting about me. Drawing seems to be my defining characteristic, and you may find all that at my artblog, watermark 2180. I draw for fun, not for profit, but critique is always welcome. Art does not get posted here, except the occasional "WHY IS THIS PICTURE SO HARD TO COMPLETE" + image link posts.

I write on occasion as well, though it's rare. If they are short, they do get posted here, but typically any full works would be posted to (ugh) the Pit, as the series I usually write for have no active comms or central gathering place for fanfiction. (Finally got an AO3 account though...)

I am not loud in fandom nor do I have any desire to be. I quietly enjoy the works people put out, typically if it pertains to my ships, and put out my own stuff without any fanfare.

I generally identify as a 'fujoshi,' but there's quite a few things about being in the "yaoi" fandom that bothers me. You'll often hear me complain about it.

My journal entries are not thoughtful or provocative; they simply consist of a lot of swearing and a lot of fangirling. I don't share a lot of personal information because I don't feel the internet is the place for that. I am not eloquent enough to address the defining issues of the day, so I leave that in more capable, understanding hands.

If you don't mind reading about me squeeing about this or that or liberally dropping the f-bomb in joy or anger, then this journal may be the journal for you to read.
Edited 08/20/10 (Now removing anyone not mutually friending! =( Sorry. Just too many people these days...)

soycd has now been separated into two sections. Please read the appropriate area of your interest before commenting!

Here for the art?

GUESS WHAT! The artblog is no longer at LJ!

You can find it now totally open to the public at watermark 2180!

However, if you wish to see the art posted here at the old artblog (and there's nearly seven years worth!),
you'll still have to post a comment here to be friended as all entries are still under f-lock. But I will not be updating art to this journal any more and what remains here is purely for archival purposes.

Here for ABJD stuff?

Just comment saying you want to be added to the doll filter.

You do not have to comment on anything, although I do appreciate the chance to get to 'know' you. However, because my flist has reached near maximum capacity, if you do not mutually friend this journal, I will assume that you're not interested in seeing the dolls any longer and will remove you from the filters. If I have removed you in error, poke me with a stick and I will remedy the situation.
