New to DW.
Sunday, January 9th, 2011 06:02 pmWell, I need a new journaling service. Many thanks to
kurumasha for the invite code!. I'm
ruaki, both on LJ (defunct) and JF. Despite my years as a permanent member at JF, I'm feeling the need to move on; my flist there is pretty much the same tired, bitter comms and no actual people of shared interest--I'm ready to put a toe back into fandom now that I have gained new interests.
(I think.)
There's really nothing interesting about me. Drawing seems to be my defining characteristic, and you may find all that at my artblog, watermark 2180. I draw for fun, not for profit, but critique is always welcome. Art does not get posted here, except the occasional "WHY IS THIS PICTURE SO HARD TO COMPLETE" + image link posts.
I write on occasion as well, though it's rare. If they are short, they do get posted here, but typically any full works would be posted to (ugh) the Pit, as the series I usually write for have no active comms or central gathering place for fanfiction. (Finally got an AO3 account though...)
I am not loud in fandom nor do I have any desire to be. I quietly enjoy the works people put out, typically if it pertains to my ships, and put out my own stuff without any fanfare.
I generally identify as a 'fujoshi,' but there's quite a few things about being in the "yaoi" fandom that bothers me. You'll often hear me complain about it.
My journal entries are not thoughtful or provocative; they simply consist of a lot of swearing and a lot of fangirling. I don't share a lot of personal information because I don't feel the internet is the place for that. I am not eloquent enough to address the defining issues of the day, so I leave that in more capable, understanding hands.
If you don't mind reading about me squeeing about this or that or liberally dropping the f-bomb in joy or anger, then this journal may be the journal for you to read.
